Paul Levinson is an SF author whose debut novel The Silk Code, following an NYPD forensic detective through a mystery spanning millennia of human evolution, won the Locus Award for Best First Novel. His short fiction earned Hugo and Nebula nominations. He served as president of SFWA from 1998 to 2001.
