I'm back to LineageOS.

As with any 'phone there were a few niggles with the Xperia running Sailfish. One major thing was the poor performance of the camera app in low light. However, the last straw was Android App Support crashing on a regular basis. This resulted in me missing an important time-sensitive to-do item (I use Etar, an Android app).

I'm going to investigate reverting to my original version of Sailfish (5.0.0.62), as AAS worked flawlessly.

Daily driver will be LineageOS, though.

A new release of #SailfishOS has been made. Amongst other things, the release notes mention that Android App Support for the Sony Xperia 10 III has been updated to version 13. AAS not starting has been fixed, according to the release notes. I'm wondering if AAS crashing has also been fixed.

This latest release of SailfishOS is 5.0.0.76. I'm going to install this version, and see how AAS behaves. 🤞

@fitheach
Been fine for me 😁👴
but
I don't stress it out 😁
@Jkp
Which version are you running?
@fitheach
The latest update which arrived two days ago 5.0.0.76 as stated above.
As I use it rarely and mostly as a handy browser and Mastodon client when my Fairphone is charging, I hadn't noticed the android layer crashes. But, it was happening because, when I checked, it required a restart.
Hasn't happened on the update yet.
@Jkp @fitheach I've been using SailfishOS as a daily driver for two weeks. I'm on a xperia 10 III with the last version. I had some troubles but nothing that made the phone unusable.
@encore_un_autre_arnaud
Does the location work on the Experia 10 III?
@fitheach
@Jkp @fitheach I never realy use it, but when I tried it didn't seem to work well.
It worked one time and I'm pretty sure it's because I kept the localisation on for some times. I will make some tests.
@Jkp @fitheach
Yeah that's it. It need to stay on to work :)
