I haven't driven stick in two years and today I had to and I was like "I have to change gears all the damn time, it's getting on my nerves" but at least the muscle memory is still there (well, mostly. Probably doesn't hurt refreshing it).
I wondered whether people in the USA, where automatic cars are the norm, learn to brake with their left foot but apparently it's the same as here! right foot for both braking and accelerating.
@Mab_813 I assume it would be quite dangerous otherwise. After all, you either want to brake or accelerate. Doing it with the same foot, assures you can only do one at the same time.
