The Trump administration announced it will pay nearly $1 billion to French energy giant TotalEnergies in exchange for the company abandoning plans to build offshore wind farms in the Atlantic Ocean and instead pursue fossil fuel projects in the US.

@greenpeace thats a bit misleading, AFAIK trump is just returning the money that the French company paid for the lease of the area?

I mean, it doesn't make it any less stupid. But kind of changes *how* its stupid.

I guess the lesson is, the orange moron can't do anything but stupid shit. One way or another.

I think it wouldn't be too hard to postpone those silly investments for a couple of years and hope for a sane administration coming in.
