The teachers are alright news:

All freshmen (grade 9) at 14’s high school are going to watch Schindler’s List next month as part of their unit on facism and WWII in their history class. I can imagine some parents are flipping their shit over this. I’ve prepped 14 about the content and that it’s pretty brutal in some places.

Side note: I was in my early 20s when that movie came out in theaters and I went with the guy I was dating at the time and he got mad I wouldn’t make out with him. During Schindler’s List. We broke up a few months later. I should’ve dumped his ass then but I was young and stupid.

@tayfonay WRT your side note: This was literally a Seinfeld episode. (S5 E18) 😂

In all seriousness, I can't remember if I was in middle school or high school when Schindler's List was shown to my class, but I don't recall any parental pushback. It'll be interesting to see what parents say these days. Worth noting that many of them were probably about the students' age when the movie made its theatrical run.

@dbsalk OMG, I need to go watch that episode.
