And now it's time for a "very specific to me" gripe:

For goddess' sake... post the direct URL to your podcast's RSS feed. You don't have to encourage people to use it. Just put it there, for assholes like me, who don't want to listen to your podcast on fucking Spotify.

@cyberpunklibrarian Is there a federated Activity Pub solution for hosting your own podcasts? Why feed surveillance capitalism platforms like spotify? Set yourself free and use a federated platform or better yet, self host ;-). All spotify does for you is exploitation, and if you don’t control the platform you may find yourself competing with fascists and nazis for attention from the algorithm 🤮

@CaptMorgan @cyberpunklibrarian The federated solution you’re looking for is… the RSS feed! :) Anyone can host one, and all of podcasting works on it.

(Almost all, given that both Spotify and Apple are nibbling away at the edges to break it, but they do still use RSS for almost everything).
