The "woman face thing" is interesting. (When they try to link trans women to a practice similar to blackface) It's a good example of why leaving gender-nonconforming and non-binary people behind won’t save us. Respectability politics never worked because it was never about justified criticism or "good ones" vs. "the weird ones". They want to get rid of us, and once they’re done with them, you’re next. The only way out is together. And I’m not shaming anyone who needs to blend in to be safe. I know that once discrimination stacks up, assimilation is survival.
