me most days (could not find original creator ... so apologies!)
@jimfuller
I AM GOD
I AM DOG
?
@breakin @jimfuller Use-after-free type confusion lol?
@King_of_Ooo @jimfuller Haha now that you say it it looks like a multithreading bug in printing!
@jimfuller and what makes you a good programmer is knowing how to go from "I have no idea what I'm doing" to "I am a god" whenever you encounter a new project or technology
@jimfuller And with Vibecoding you can experience both states at once now!
@jimfuller "I am Donald Knuth" vs "I am Donald Duck"
@jimfuller Me using cpan on the right
@jimfuller I think I'm going through "I am God" phase right now.
@ansh0x dont worry it shall pass ....
@jimfuller hell nah. I'm worried that it'll pass 😔
@jimfuller @bagder sometimes things work on the first try. Sure, randomness allows for it, but I do not credit randomness :D
@faultcraft @bagder the credit should be given to 'all open source programmers' having freely given all the training data ... llm indeterminism (and lack of any trust model) are just new problems to give us fun for the next N years.
@jimfuller @bagder oh i thought we were just talking about normal people coding, didn't consider llms being a part of it :(
@faultcraft @bagder its that too - but the 'party' insists every conversation be imbued with AI concepts.
@jimfuller nope, there is a third state once you’ve been a programmer long enough “What was I thinking?” Followed by “I’m gonna do it right this time and make it into a framework”
@jimfuller @bagder For me it’s often like this.
