If you've never seen them, let me introduce you to NEMA 5-15 (US electrical outlet standard) pigtails. They're typically about 6-12" and are frequently used to move power bricks away from power strips, so they don't block other receptacles. Awesome little thingies.

@dm I'm setting up the game room with a bunch of classic consoles that all use power bricks, they're all but required there. I can't live without them.

When i was a stagehand guy doing lighting we called those "stingers". I think "pigtails" was what we called the fanout cables that went from 1 socapex to 6x nema 5-15
