The mac app store is showing new updates but showing an older update for the app, once clicking to the App’s page you see the actual update. Anyone else?

Today’s date is March 25th, not March 18th.

@richaesthetic This can happen when a developer decides to do a staged rollout of an update, where it progressively pushes the update out to users over time.

The latest update doesn’t get shown to you unless you click through to the app’s details page, so if you’re already a version behind, the version on the updates page will be that older version instead.

@eurozerozero Hmm, I’m not sure that’s what happened here as I check updates daily and today before those three there were three more app updates that also showed “out of date” update information even though they were already on that version. I will watch out for it though, however my morning is literally open RSS reader and App Store, read Apple News while updating apps and have a coffee ☕️
@richaesthetic That’s quite strange, then. I guess it’s also possible it could be some kind of temporary App Store caching/CDN glitch where things are lagging a bit 🤔
@eurozerozero I’m leaning towards this, sadly. A few months ago, January, I had to create a new user account on my Mac because the App Store wasn’t working at all for whatever reason and after 2 hours with apple support, it wasn’t fixed. So they told me to create a new user account and migrate everything. Ef me that took a while
@richaesthetic Yeah, hopefully it just fixes itself and that isn’t going to be needed this time - sounds like a huge hassle!
