Swiss public broadcaster with an interesting plane-daytrain-coach price comparison with #nighttrains for all overnight connections from 🇨🇭 Zurich (incl. the abandoned Copenhagen project). Does this reflect your experiences?

@backontrack I can't comment on the flights, but prices for night trains sound about right. However, they mostly depend on the comfort class (seating, couchette, or private bed compartment), not sure which one they chose for the benchmark?

This means that last-minute prices can be higher because the cheapest travel classes are sold out.

At least, 500€ one-way is not happening on trains (unless booking a whole compartment) because buying an Interrail pass puts a cap on prices.

@backontrack To me this graphic shows that contrary to popular belief, flights can be much more expensive than night trains (at least coming from a wealthy place like Switzerland), which is reassuring.
