Questions for people who do full make-up:

1. When I prime my face do I need to use the same primer for the eyes?
Which leads to question 2. Do I use concealer or eyeshadow primer?
3. Can I use baby/any talc powder as some sort of setting powder?
4. Do I really need false lashes if I'm gonna put winged eyeliner or is eyelash curler and mascara all good?

What I know so far:

*If I'm using a silicone-based foundation, I need a silicone-based face primer, water-based foundation over water-based primer, etc.
*Hooded eyelids have a different way to put eyeshadow and winged eyeliner.
*Setting spray is the last step. (Is this essential or primer can basically hold everything up? I guess this is question 5 lol)
*make sure to do your skin care routine including sunscreen lol
*tidy up eyebrows

Thank you very much in advance.

@pipesunlimited You can use any kind of makeup over a silicone primer. ANd yes, you can use a silicone primer on your eyes.

In case you don't know this little trick, Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel is the best unkept secret in the makeup world. It's a fantastic makeup primer. Walmart has an Equate house brand version that is just as good, and even cheaper.

As good or better than Smashbox Photo Finish, fraction of the price.

@pipesunlimited Do not use baby powder for makeup setting powder. Use a dedicated makeup setting powder.
@gcvsa ok. No baby powder 🤣

@pipesunlimited This stuff is pricey, but a little bit goes a long way. Laura Mercier is always a top choice for makeup.
