@kirschner $375 million seems light for a multi billion dollar company. The fine should be more like 30% or more of global revenue.

@aproposnix @kirschner Fines are just taxes tbh. We need to regulate these platforms and also promote ethical alternatives like Fediverse.

Netherlands did well with forcing Facebook and Instagram to allow setting chronological feed by default.

The currently worldwide calls for age verification mandates, unfortunately will make advocating for this challenging and just puts the blame on users. Hope we can push against that.
