i’m having self-destructive thoughts like “i should go back to studying high school math” and “what if i trim my own hair just a bit”
@lzg I mean… my mom cut my hair til I was 15-16, and then I took over. I’ve been to a hair salon a few times but it’s mostly worked out?
@lzg not saying if you don’t know what you’re doing go for it, more saying if you’ve ever done it before chances are high it’ll be fine
@lzg I’m so bad at math I couldn’t even help my then middle school (now HS) daughter with her homework. Everything else, no problem. Math? Put me in the corner with a cone on my head. I wish I had time to relearn it.
@kevbob @lzg I have dyscalculia, and both of my kids are already better at maths than me!

@lzg "What if I gave myself one more piercing with a sewing needle and a potato wedge?"

Honestly much better than destructive to others. (Ask me about the time in high school when I clipped a friends ear while giving her a haircut.)

@lzg but math is a useful skill, right 🤔
@lzg you can differentiate and integrate, i believe in you! trimming your own hair, less so

@lzg

Eh, you're fine. Just get a good night sleep.

Now, if you were saying something like you were going to ask ChatGPT to create a custom hairstyle for you and show you how to cut it yourself, we might all be a little concerned and start organizing an intervention.

@lzg I had a friend who did this though I think he aged out of it. Results always looked good on him though!
@lzg as someone who took a calculus class during a recent career break, step away from the graphing calculator. I was constantly in tears.
@lzg skip calculus go straight to probability. It's more fun and generally useful for everyone.
