Always trying to channel Mr Rogers 😄

Simple wisdom always carries the day for me.

@sarahijackson

My exact words after some of my airplane landings.

@sarahijackson we all need more Mr Rogers in our life.
@sarahijackson You just made me cry a little.

Tired: Explain Like I'm 5.
Wired: Create Like I'm 5.

@sarahijackson

I am a retired Art teacher & I approve this message with my whole heart!

@sarahijackson I regularly make a poo. It’s harder some days than others, but I sure feel good to have made something.
@sarahijackson I paint minis ( like from WH40K or other games), which was a habit I had lost during uni and got back to after finishing my PhD because I missed doing stuff with my hands since I wasn't in a lab anymore, and one of the first things that I did on a psychological level was adopt the "Bob Ross Doctrine": "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents."
@sarahijackson I don't know who Mr. Rogers is, but I have a feeling that somehow I could trust him.
@vftdan
@th3rdsergeevich his Wikipedia listing doesn’t really explain the impact of this quiet spoken, incredibly kind man who hosted a kids TV show for years. But this article lists some specific moments that are a perfect illustration https://www.today.com/parents/6-touching-stories-about-mister-rogers-impact-fans-t124045
6 touching stories about Mister Rogers' impact on fans

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of 'Mister Rogers' Neighborhood,' fans are sharing stories about Fred Rogers' impact.

TODAY
@wndxlori @th3rdsergeevich thanks you Lori for that explanation. I didn't know about Mr. Rogers, but What a man! What a program!
I would like and I hope we can find it on social networks, in particular, , this kind of material.
Let's image a channel with a content and intention similar to those of Mr. Rogers, authentic funny, authentic kind, and authentic.
@sarahijackson Haha brilliant! Gonna use this next time we release a game! :D
@sarahijackson "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" well worth a look if anyone hasn't seen it. With Tom Hanks and based on Mr Rogers real-life friendship with journalist Tom Junod. Loved it.
@sarahijackson hi Sarah, at the beginning I found the pics very funny, but actually they are very soulful. The message and the extent the pics have are very powerful. Please, let me share it with the subtitles in other languages. Have a nice day!
@sarahijackson Actual footage of me making a bagel.

@sarahijackson Here in the UK this wasn't a programme we had on TV. But seeing this very clip as an adult woke a small something in me that in part led me to making music.

It's not very good music. But that doesn't matter. It feels good to create something.

@sarahijackson I love this because it is exactly the kind of drawing I know how to do.

@sarahijackson @User47 What is life if you don't make anything?

And why did it take me so long to think about this?

#KeepMaking #making

@mlanger @sarahijackson absolutely. I want the stuff I made to be around way after me
@User47 @sarahijackson I didn't realize how important making was until I started making and selling jewelry. It was the feeling of satisfaction I got when I thought of a design and then turned it into real life. And the fact that people were actually willing to pay money for it, convinced me that what I was doing was worthwhile not only for me but for other people. (1/2)
I still can't believe that I started my professional life as a paper pusher. I am so glad that I moved onto other more interesting and productive things. (2/2)
