Over the last 10 years Apple and Microsoft have been hard at work proving that electron is the best way to build desktop apps, by making native APIs a constantly moving target and an awfully buggy mess. Are you surprised companies don’t want to deal with that bs?

@daringfireball I hate Electron as much as the next guy. But as far as Electron apps go, Claude is good. It’s at least a hell of a lot nicer than ChatGPT. The way that app format answers, especially when dealing with code, is laughable.
