It's been a few years since I drew this. I still stand by it.

#MastoArt #HumanArt #CreativeToots

@doombloomart also support human writers, human programmers, human translators, human journalists, etc

reject "ai"-generated art, code, translations, journalism, etc. reject projects and programs that openly use these wherever practically possible

let's all band together and reject genai wherever we can. together we are much stronger
@doombloomart i know i keep iterating this wherever i can, but i feel it is super important that we don't get divided. that we don't start saying things like "it's fine for code but not for art" or "it's fine for art but not for journalism", etc

it's all bad. it must all be rejected. we shouldn't let them sow discord or division between us
@lumi @doombloomart what about for accessibility?
@freya @doombloomart afaik accessibility tools don't rely on genai, those tend to be more traditional machine learning
@lumi @doombloomart not quite. gemini live, Claude for parsing inaccessibly formatted text, non-classifier-based vision models, AI-assisted OCR....
@freya @doombloomart it's a thorny issue, then. if even a fraction of this genai money was allocated to accessibility, i feel like we would have had so much more, and corporations wouldn't have messed up literally everything in the process

i sadly don't have a proper answer here :/
@lumi @doombloomart I respect the fact that you're not just telling me "fuck you, you don't get to have accessibility". there are people out there saying that things like gemini live are evil, even if they help me, and that I should just......... not have things that can help me with visual tasks
