Maybe I’m just tired and grumpy from allergies/cold, but I really can’t stand the old trope of “Don’t let the wife see my new guitar!” Or equivalent. Just that whole vibe of your partner being a “nag” or antagonist or such. Thankfully my past partners have celebrated such purchases with me. In fact my first Helix was a gift from my then girlfriend.
