I've just spent the last two hours trying to get it through a director's head that his SPF, DKIM & DMARC have no bearing on an email sent to someone purporting to have come from his company and that the reason his domain was blocked is that the recipients' SPF, DKIM & DMARC worked. 😭
@dick_turpin I don't envy you there. The current state of email security seems to be designed to produce torment and dismay. Also, spam, somehow. :P

@windigo Email is probably our number one support nightmare. It's soul-destroying to deal with some of the Fault Tickets we get.

In one sense, I'm glad Microsoft is doing everything in its power to kill off On-Prem Exchange and Hosted Exchange. It'll be their M365 problem. However, it will have a detrimental effect on our business once our Hosted Exchange is defunct.

We get a lot of moans that TEAMS & CoPilot only integrates with M365 email accounts.

Yeah. My #1 take away about running an email system is "pay someone else to do it if at all possible".

It's rough, and getting worse all the time.
