The same week that Microsoft was forced to publicly confess that no one is signing up for their paid Copilot services, OpenAI is now forced to publicly confess that no one is using their "buy within ChatGPT" premium service. The two announcements are pointing to a growing problem in this industry; that when all the marketing hype is over and it's time to actually cash checks, simply no one is actually spending money to have access to AI bots.
