I've started working on my big project for 2026 : a fantasy Nurgle army, based on the #warhammerQuest #Darkwater box.

First stop, a warband for #Necropolis, as I'll play in some events in early 2026 !

It's made out of Vyatnia, Angel of Hunger, their familiar, a failed sorcerer, eager to please his master, Samnyso, a Templar and Glerelyi, a mercenary beastman.

Vyatnia is my recreating of an awesome conversion by Christian Byrne, as shown in White Dwarf years ago

I've also cleaned the Darkwater tokens for use in Necropolis.

I've textured the metals. I've first applied a coat of Games Workshop liquid green stuff using a tapping motion with a brush, but my pot of was half dried, and the texture wasn't pronounced enough for my liking. So instead, I've used Green Stuff World's Green Putty, an acrylic filler. I don't like Green Stuff World, but the consistency was better and I now have properly crusty warriors. I hope the primer I'll use won't obscure this texture.

I've started putting some sloppy basecoats to get a feel of what I want to get.

My current goal is to get these five creatures painted this weekend. This will definitely be a challenge !

I haven't managed to do as much progress as I'd wanted, so here they were yesterday evening. I'll do the second coat of brown tonight !
It's still far from finished, but I'll be using them at a #necropolis28 event this weekend ! #nurgle #miniaturepainting
I'm now building some Putrid Blightkings and Beastmen to expand this project !
Four Blightking·queen·s built ! Tomorrow will be the Beastpeople's turn !
