@KiwiEV It's the low hanging fruit of disinfo. Even if our entire grid was fossil generation, it would still make sense to drive EVs on energetic, economic, and climate grounds.

Seriously, though, in territories where car ownership rates are high, the quantity of energy supplied as motor fuel is often comparable to or even larger than that supplied as electricity. That's not a problem you can hand-wave for very long. It means massive investments in transmission and distribution as well as new generation. And that takes time.
