Morning Mastodonians!

It was one of the more discouraging #hockey mornings I’ve had all year. I felt great, sharp, and on my toes, and we went up to a 5-1 lead. But through some fluky goals, some nice shots, and some bad play on my part, they ended up pulling ahead. We did eventually tie it up, but I gave up the only goal in the shootout, which cost us the game. It was pretty frustrating. I thought I was moving well and anticipating the play, but the puck still kept getting behind me.

One reason may have been that I was late this morning. I wasn’t planning on half an inch of snow on everything. So cleaning off the cars took an extra five minutes, messing up my tight schedule. At least the roads were fine. The other big thing on the schedule #Today is a Beer Dads meeting at a local brew pub. Always good to see the fellas. I should also take the dogs for a walk.

As part of our New York Times top 100 #movie list, I forced myself to watch another Paul Thomas Anderson movie. But Phantom Thread was no better than One Battle After Another or Licorice Pizza. Watching boring, nasty people do boring, nasty things to each other just isn’t very entertaining. We have one more on the list. There Will Be Blood. There aren’t actually too many others left to watch that neither @revmem nor I have seen.

I will spend my day in the #SaltMine at the world headquarters here in Woburn. I would come in more often, but there aren’t enough hoteling spaces, though. For instance, I can’t get one on Thursday. Because I am going into the classified lab more often these days, I might be able to get my own office—or at least my own desk. The threshold is rather low at only two days a week. But I’m not sure when the next assignment phase will be.
