We don’t even know if we can land on the moon successfully again.

Damn sure do not have any landers close to being able to test. We don’t even have a vehicle that can get people there and back yet and we’re already signing up for a much harder mission.

That’s not even considering the nature of lunar dust. That stuff is pernicious, abrasive, and about as benign to astronauts as asbestos is to construction workers.

It’s probably closer to volcanic ash, but I think more people have familiarity with asbestos warnings as opposed to ash.
