A grackle died in my back garden today. I guess I’d better stop giving birds food and water for a while, for their own sake.

@nancywisser Yikes. :( Do you have a local wildlife office that might want to inspect the bird?

I had a scare a bit over a year ago, and it was very reassuring to learn that the dead bird was not a sign of a flu outbreak.

@hexamander I called but they just said to dispose of it. I used a mask and disposable gloves and put it in two plastic bags one inside the other. They didn't seem too interested.
