@MamaLake I should absolutely not indulge my wrath.
@madengineering @MamaLake I call it "the catastrophe of my rage"

@MamaLake i feel like there is a disconnect between the very justified and popular fears of the first two options and the fear of fear represented by the also popular Dune option.

Fear makes you sharp, fear keeps you safe. Fear is a bad master, but an excellent servant.

@Montaagge agreed, I think there are things our animal nature knows are dangerous and we can work with our fear to get to and create safety for ourselves, though when we are ruled by fear we may be more prone to make decisions rashly. Being afraid of our own anger may cause a latency in our choices, waiting until the wrath consumes us and what we love. Being afraid of other's anger may also cause us to freeze, causing more latency or tiptoeing behavior. We need balance, being stuck in fear isn't balancing.

@MamaLake

I guess there are different kinds of fear, but a key difference between my older brother and I is that he wants a sure thing and gets consumed by doubt about making the wrong decisions whereas I go out, make mistakes, fail, get my ass kicked by life, but learn from it all.

My choice for that self-doubting fear is that it's the mindkiller.

All of that said, there are other kinds of fear that scare me and I try not to let consume me.

@Wintergr33n yes, many ways to experience and name fear. I wonder if in flight or fight you may be more of a fighter and your brother is more likely to freeze? Curious here about what may be stopping our collective actions in the face of fear.
