Not gonna lie, not quite feeling the new "Aurora Mk-II" that's coming out. I mean it's a decent looking ship, but it does not feel like an Aurora at all! #StarCitizen #AuroraMkII #Gaming

@bloodaxe My thoughts exactly. I like the way it looks, but it's just not the same ship.

To be fair, a major redesign while filling the same role on the market is something you see with cars IRL too, so it still makes sense lore-wise.

It's just not what I was expecting and probably not what most people had hoped for.

Even the signature chicken legs are gone :<

@darkwiiplayer I'm also just against "antiquating" OG-backers ships for MkII before the game is even properly released 🙃

t's not horrible IF they keep the old models up-to-date at the same level as the new ones, but I don't like the precedence this sets 😒

But, I guess they got away with the Hornet MkII, the community has spoken with their wallets... again...

@bloodaxe I mean, if there's a pack with both auroras like some people expect, I'm probably getting both; I like the new one, but the old one kind of just has historical value by this point.

@bloodaxe Agreed. It's quite a stretch, IMO. to call that an aurora. Unless those wings actually fold in like they were supposed to on the original.

edit: Just watched the reveal trailer and I see that they do fold in / out. Yet it still has the profile of an entirely different ship, IMO. Eh.

@ezlin Yeah. It is a starter-ship tho, so at least it fills a similar role to the Aurora Mk-I. But the design language is compleeeetely different.

What I fear is that they will leave the old Aurora to bit-rot once this is out... I really hope that won't be the case, cause that would be such a spit in the face of OG backers who helped fund CIG in the first place 😒

@bloodaxe I got Avatar vibes.
@edgren Avatar? As in the blue-people CGI Avatar?
