@Tutanota is there a way to auto-filter spam by subject? I receive dozens of identical spams per week and no amount of reporting seems to stop it.
@Tutanota and is there a way to auto-filter by domain including subdomains? I receive constant phishing and spam from *.firebaseapp[.]com but blocking the top level domain doesn't stop the subdomains.
@th @Tutanota IME no contemporary mail provider does anything with spam reports. There is no per-user Bayesian filter etc. Which I think is bollocks, but sadly it is the case.

@whvholst @Tutanota they just announced an overhaul of the filter system, but it doesn't seem to be making a difference for even the most trivial of spams. https://tuta.com/blog/tuta-improved-spam-filters

(I also don't understand why they can't filter when they receive the plaintext of the message and subject; this isn't an e2e problem)

Improved spam filtering – we need your help! | Tuta

We’re pleased to announce that we are currently rolling out Tuta’s new spam filters to all Tuta Mail accounts. Very soon you will have close to zero spam in your end-to-end encrypted Inbox.

@th @whvholst @Tutanota Their filtering system is great.... Backwards.

Every day, about half my legit email is in the spam folder, and most of my spam in is Inbox. I have to re-triage it every day.

(Yes, I've been reporting this to them.)

@drwho @th @whvholst We just added a new learning filter. Please keep moving the emails to the right folder. This will improve in 1-2 weeks.
@drwho @th @whvholst It's important to also move to Spam, not just report as Phishing (these are two different systems). Thank you! Would be curious to hear an update in two weeks! 🙏🏼
@Tutanota @th @whvholst I really hope so. I've never had to mark almost my entire daily mail queue (130+ messages) as not-spam, and them mark about 60 junk messages in my Inbox as spam.
