Damn #CrossBorderRail is getting harder and harder 😑

I have found a way to get to Vireux-Molhain πŸ‡«πŸ‡· - Treignes πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ in May

But can I find a way to cover

Rumelange πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ί - Ottange πŸ‡«πŸ‡·
and
Benonchamps πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ - Schimpach-Wampach πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ί
and even
Lengeler πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ - Wilwerdingen πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ί

in one day πŸ€”

Sod that. Too complex. #CrossBorderRail

It's going to have to be only

Rumelange πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ί - Ottange πŸ‡«πŸ‡·
and
Benonchamps πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ - Schimpach-Wampach πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ί

on the way from Strasbourg to Bruxelles

And then only Vireux-Molhain πŸ‡«πŸ‡· - Treignes πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ on the way from Bruxelles to Nuits-sous-RaviΓ¨res

But it will involve a trip on this

@jon If you're lucky you're on this!
@stevenclays Because I have to take a train as far as Bourgogne that afternoon (from Vireux Molhain) I know it's going to be the diesel. But I can live with that!
@jon Enjoy the views!
@jon I did not even realize this was cross-border rail once!
@stevenclays and Vireux Molhain is actually very close to Treignes. But I think French side there are buildings now on the old alignment.
No wonder, as these border points are rather remote. Hopefully, weather will be cooperative. But never rule out a big gale. I got drenched as in a South Asian monsoon when hiking East to Bastogne in June last year.
@jon I would suggest cycling from Benonchamps to Schimpach, it will be easier than the opposite direction.
@sintzoff yes. But no. If I do it that way my train trips are much longer. So ok, I have more climbing, but I’ll manage.
