Prosocial Design Network

The Prosocial Design Network advocates for prosocial design: evidence-based design practices that bring out the best in human nature online.

Here’s a tactic they call “validated”: prominently showing the rules or norms of a platform or online group encourages prosocial behavior.

Finally, Prosocial Design Network takes on a popular myth: that reverse chronological feeds fix everything. But in one study, they showed “no discernible effect on participant’s levels of polarization.”

The Prosocial Design Network also hosts monthly meet-ups for like-minded technologists — and this Thurs at 1pm ET, they’re featuring us! ♥️
