zompusI've been off of Factorio for a bit, can't bring myself to start a new Oxygen Not Included game, so last week I started a new map on Vintage Story. Fortunately I spawned on a relatively flat plain next to a trader and a small lake. Been happily relearning how to tech up from flint tools to pottery to copper. Got copper tools just in time for the 9-day monster honeymoon to expire.
Last night:
-Casted an anvil and 2 pickaxes
-Made a prospecting pick tool mold
-Made a few storage vessels
-Mined out two copper deposits
-Traded 24 peat for 2 gears at the trader
-Dug a 2-deep trench around the farm plot to catch animals and monsters
To do:
-Prospect for more copper
-Forge a saw, make a bunch of boards for doors and storage
-Build a querm
-Find fire clay
Longer to do:
-Make a bucket for moving water for farming
-Mine out the large seam of coal to the east of the main house
-Find fire clay and build a clay oven
-Grow lots of flax for use in making linen bags
-Prospect for tin and iron
