Maybe I use it differently, but I simply don’t understand all the fuss about iOS 26. I’ve been using a Mac since the 90s and I’ve had an iPhone since the first one came out in 2007. Nothing really all that surprising with this update.

Now, I don’t use the floating windows or any of the AI slop, but I control all that still.

I’m on my iPad all day long. More than even my laptop, by far. I do more on it than most. Design. Video. Photography. Writing. It all just works.

#Apple #iOS26

@dtm for me, the iOS update is fine, but the MacOS companion has lots of visual issues etc. Maybe because my phone is newer than my Macs?
@swanksalot Maybe. Both mine are relatively new. I barely even noticed in on my MacBook Pro.

@dtm Social media is full of hyperbolic whining over trivialities, especially when it comes to Apple.

I mute the worst, and sometimes whole instances when it becomes clear they’re just breeding grounds for negativity.

@dtm Same vibe here on iOS 26, but I know I use my iPhone differently and feel it is slightly optimized for me.

Reverse opinion on iPadOS 26 though. No Slide Over stack to flip through. Can’t flip through windows unless they’re full screen. If I wanted the chore of managing windows, I’d still be on a Windows tablet.
