There is no #god, and that's the simple truth. If every trace of any single #religion were wiped out and nothing were passed on, it would never be created exactly that way again. There might be some other nonsense in its place, but not that exact nonsense. If all of #science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again.

@nando161 I'm not sure if that's really the case that if science disappeared it would re-emerge in the exact same way, because science developed historically in a lopsided way, like the evolution of mathematics was not a uniform process, so for example, classical physics was very much a product of the more ancient mathematics, while quantum physics required the development of new theories of probability and the like

Many different societies approached the scientific method, materialism made great strides in Ancient Greece, India or China only to be rolled back.. one could imagine had science come out of China or India it would take out the characteristics of their respective philosophical traditions

one could also make the converse argument, looking at how monotheism, polytheism, or magical thinking are quite similar across completely different cultures

@nando161 the fact that religion and worship were invented by every human society before us disproves exactly that conclusion. It is a human need and probably would be reinvented or rediscovered, just like science.
