It’s very possible that the life is not perfect, she just filters what to post. Might be plenty of shit hidden under the glitter.
This exactly. People normally only post good things. Usually the only time people post bad things is when it’s something they can get sympathy for.
Extremely likely. But seriously, don’t waste your time thinking about her. She have wasted enough time of your life already, and your time matter. Keep that memories as a lesson to what avoid in future and start planning for what to do next.
Social media always leads you to compare your inside with everyone else’s outside. Nothing good ever comes of this. Live your best life
In general, the more people feel the need to post about how happy they are, they aren’t that happy.

Never forget that social media shows you only what the other wants you to see about them. Her profile is essentially optimized to illicit your response, regardless of how real it actually is.

Also one of the reasons classic social media is so toxic and harmful to the users.

You see what she shows and universally social media has been shown to be both exhausting to curate and awful to live for screenshots. If you think it’s perfect, you aren’t seeing the problems.

There are usually two answers to this. The first is what everyone else is already saying. Social media is a highlight real of your life. Authenticity died in the 2000s, or rather what remained of it on the internet.

The second is that good things happen to bad people. This has something to do with bad people having higher self efficacy and/or delusion of themselves, their skills, and how the world views them.

I believe it’s more the former, but even if the latter were true, it has no bearing on your life. I feel your anguish, and I can definitely personally relate. Retake and reclaim your life, your space, and your energy. Your shitter of a friend definitely won’t stop living hers, for better or for worse. Why should you let what she does have any bearing on your own life?

I don’t mean to be calloused. I am speaking only from the point on how I cope with these situations.

Sometimes everything goes right for assholes. “karma” is a cute concept but it’s still religious woo woo.
What people post online about their life is a fascade.
