As I’ve said previously, I moved from #spotify to #qobuz, and paid the annual subscription.

All good, but I miss some things from Spotify. For example, if I like artist X, I can find similar artists on X’s page. Spotify has videos and lyrics.

I’m not an audiophile, so other than ethical reasons, what is Qobuz offering?

A cleaner app, better artist payments?

I’ll be sticking with Qobuz, but it’ll remain niche unless it broadens its USP

@t3rcermillenium it has this similar music feature, it’s just hard to find. For instance when you play a favorite album it will show similar music. On the CarPlay version of #Qobuz similar music is more prominent.

@TimothyRoes How did I miss that? I think the problem is that since signing up, I’ve been mostly listening to playlists, rather than “releases”.

Silly me :-)

@t3rcermillenium it’s a delicate balance. I like that #qobuz does it differently and nudges you to listen to whole albums and even discover music elsewhere (I check newspaper music section and a few blogs). Still, some recommendations (beyond new releases) are welcome.
