It's possible to argue that keeping Trump "feeling good" about AU by going along with the AUKUS debacle is in the national interest

But Anthony Albanese chooses the corrupt gambling industry over the lives of Australians, chooses servility to Herzog over treating all Australians equally & oversaw the crooked process by which those responsible for RoboDebt, with its many associated deaths, skated free from criminal prosecution.

No "national interest" here.
