@tsvenson @dabeaz "off the chart"? I didn't see his movies, I think. I know of the many jokes representing him as some ultimate force. (Which seems to always come with positive connotation.) I know he died recently. I didn't hear from him otherwise, or his activities in last decade or so. What am I missing?

@tsvenson @dabeaz hmm.. didn't hear about that. Without an explanation in his own words, I wouldn't judge. Considering how extreme the left got with ideas such as the (contemporary) wokeness, which I think fails to hit the goal they long for, you don't quite know which underlying principles are guiding his motivation.

I criticize current "woke climate" because their insistence on rules seem to fail to hit the goals they seem to strive for.
I did not say that I did not want to judge the far right. I said I do not have a good impression on his political views in onder to know whether to consider it far right, because with the extremity of the left, a lot of right views are now considered "extreme". I would want to hear it in his words.
