Cara Bruar@sister_ratched we had one like that in our yard at Macquarie. There were two trunks. The one with the scar died in the 2003 drought and had to be removed. The other half is still going strong.

@sister_ratched I loved that tree but was afraid of it too, it spread right over the house. Our current place has only bushes. Don't like it as much.

@sister_ratched each trunk was as thick as that one, so old. There was a stump in the back yard a metre wide that had been cut down in the 70s. Other big trees in surrounding yards.
