I'm obviously sad that there will be no more #StarfleetAcademy after season 2. I very much enjoyed the show. But I'm lucky enough (in contrast to how I felt after #StarTrekENT's cancellation) that I know that I will get up tomorrow and keep on doing research on Picard's crystal or Bajoran emblems... But other people I care about have lost their jobs. I don't need encouraging words from others, I'm okay, but I certainly don't need hateful messages like the ones I got during the last 10 weeks just for liking something.

Starfleet Academy was great. Lots of hate for it and I don't know if it was because one of the leads had lots of melanin or because he liked other boys. Neither reason stands any scrutiny.

As for "after season 2" I am not convinced it will ever see the light of day just as I am not convinced we will ever see the final season of the already-cancelled Strange New Worlds. *At best* they get the Prodigy treatment.

Imagine owning a 60-yr old money-making franchise that you hate.

In truth, I feel the most sorry for the actors and creatives, but I'm glad the series was not renewed because of the new IP ownership by extreme right-wing nuts. I think it's better for Star Trek to go on hiatus entirely without MAGA trying to shove their extremely limited, racist and sexist worldview into what should be a very diverse setting with progressive ideals.

As for the haters, true Trek fans are not gatekeepers, and you're one of the best fans. :) Keep enjoying it!

Man - it’s STREAMING when WE have time to watch, not when THEY publish and start a counter for a week.
Plus: I had to SEARCH in P+ to even find it! It was NOT in their Star-Trek-Category, NOT on my recommendation List even if I watched SNW, LDS, PIC …
