There will undoubtedly be lots of comments about how EVs do, in fact, generate marginally worse wear than similarly-sized vehicles by volume. Or about how heavy trucking causes the most wear by far. And how certain groups should pay higher taxes.
What if we went another direction? Make the Army Corps of Engineers maintain our roads because the DOD sure seems to have a fuckload of budget every year.
Why should any of us have to pay for roads more, when we can pay for roads INSTEAD?
