Last night, passengers on UAL 236 EWR to PMI had a rough flight. After a 90-minute delay to repair a flap, they had to abort just off the coast and return to Newark because a Bluetooth device onboard was named “bomb”. Then they had to wait until about 2:30am to depart again, with their terminal food options being those automated kiosk things or Hudson News. But not before being forced to go through TSA again. Yikes.
Fellow #EV owners in the US, be aware of HR 8870 (Build America 250 Act) in committee which introduces a $130 annual tax on #electricvehicles growing biennially to $150 as currently written. I could see the amounts increasing before it leaves full committee. My rep in PA-7 is a lost cause, but please pressure your House representative on this if you see fit. There is not a corresponding gas tax increase, which has been flat for decades.
