Geoff 🏴Given the amount of scientific detail that was cut from #ProjectHailMary (probably rightly, to keep a great film to a sane time), and the amount of work that Weir and team are putting into interviews on the detailed science behind it, plus a few scenes that were clearly snippets from bigger science scenes, I predict we're on for a nearly 4hr directors cut that will be *even more* awesome. #AmazeAmazeAmaze
One of my senior physics students went to see it at my recommendation, said it was great , but "kind of like an M&M, shiny physics shell on the outside, but covering a lot of microbiology". 😂
Fair enough, but the student will learn why we have chemistry and biology when they try to calculate hydrogen burning in oxygen from scratch with quantum mechanics 😜
