just clocked >600 Mbps down via speedtest.net using a very cheap VPS (cheaper than a VPN subscription) which means i just do not ever have to let un-tunneled traffic into the UK ISP networks at all

@whitequark I would be worried that cheap VPSes wouldn’t have any guaranteed bandwidth so they could slow you down at any moment.

@kccqzy this will be true for anything in this price range. however for the price of a guaranteed bandwidth slice you can get ten or fifty cheap VPSes and switch to a new one if it ever gets slow (I have three for example, mostly for different geoip)
