Karl Auerbach@raymaccarthy @hiphopheaven @antoinechambertloir @rae If my memory serves, I think some of this began as far back as Joshua, successor to Moses, when the Israelites came out of Egypt, spent that biblical 40 years in the desert, and then entered "the promised land". Joshua was a man of the sword and, according to the Bible, he used it on a lot of the preexisting occupants of those lands.
