Well, I guess I'll welcome any support peeled away from MAGA right now.
But it'll take a lot more than this to regain any trust. My money is on people like him wanting us to "just move on" and "not dwell on the past" while he immediately supports the next far-right politician that holds the same policy positions with just a little better internal filtering.
True repentance is good, and I would love to forgive. I would welcome a truth and reconciliation commission at the end of all of this. I lament the extreme unlikelihood that we'll ever see one.
