I tell you that story to tell you this one. When the water started running brown, indie #journalist Jennifer #Combs, a resident of Trinidad, started getting reports from neighbors that they were getting sick from the water. She posted about it on FB.
The Trinidad Police Chief Charles Gregory stated the post contained false information designed to create fear, arrested and detained her for more than 24 hours.
The city subsequently sent out an alert to residents to boil the water because it was unsafe. So, she was correct, but they doubled down on the arrest. This is a blatant #corruption and abuse of power, and needs to be brought into the light.
