Things the rest of the world has learned:

1) The United States is not a reliable negotiating partner. There’s no reason to concede anything in negotiations.
2) The US will happily accept fake things in exchange for real concessions so that it can pretend victory on cable news.
3) The US navy cannot secure and protect global trade routes.
4) America’s allies don’t really trust it.

I dunno, maybe the effect of gas prices on the midterms is less important than other things right now.

@nswigger Seems like a significant reduction in crop yields due to fertilizer shortages landing just prior to the mid terms might make the list. Can’t see how Trump & Co. do anything other than short circuit upcoming federal elections. The power to subpoena under oath congressional testimony would just send too many of the regime to jail.
