Czechia trolls the Russian Embassy in Prague by renaming the streets :)

@infobeautiful I think it's Aleksei Navalny Lookout, not Outlook.

I didn't think that made sense when I read it, so I had to check.

A lookout over Prague's picturesque Stromovka Park was unofficially renamed Aleksei Navalny Lookout in February 2021, but local authorities removed the unauthorized signage, clarifying that Prague streetnames can honor people only after they are deceased.

EDIT: Google Maps says it's Outlook. Wikipedia says it's Lookout.

How Czechs Trolled The Russian Embassy, Then Things Escalated

Since 2020, Czechia has renamed streets and landmarks around the Russian embassy in Prague after adversaries of the Kremlin. Then, in late September 2025 the Czech embassy in Moscow was vandalized, and Czechia banned entry for unaccredited Russian diplomats.

@alex @infobeautiful At bottom right on Ukrainian street thereโ€™s Vitalii Skakun bridge named after marine combat engineer who blew himself up at the beginning of invasion. https://mapy.com/en/?source=stre&id=5198638

What has Russia done for the Czech Republic? In 1945, liberated it from occupation
What has the Czech Republic done for Russia in its entire history? Nothing. At all

@infobeautiful Hmmm, mail must be lots of fun when it arrives at Putin's embassy
