Someone I knew refused My Deer Friend Nokotan because they don't like "slice of life".

@TheZeldaZone I love luckystar but not knowing your age I fear it might be too dated for you, it's largely referential to anime and culture of the time and you'll miss 99% of the jokes if you haven't seen/aren't aware.

@TheZeldaZone honestly, lucky star is only funny if you're reeeeaaaaally into mid 2000s slice of life parodies and the year is currently 2007 and you're still in high school. That's how I watched it and I can't imagine rewatching it at 36, let alone watching it for the first time now.
I really don't recommend it in any other context. Genuinely one of those "you had to have been there at the time" kinda shows
