(1/3) Welp, here is an unintended consequence of #diabetes that I hadn't considered. #UnDoneCS
had sandwiches for lunch. I knew I shouldn't eaten the bread but I felt bad throwing it away…Aaand my blood sugar alarm went off loudly as it spiked at 250 mg/dL,so I opened my reasonably waterproof bag to grab my mobile device to silence the alarm. Left bag open, & started drinking lots of water as it's best thing I can do when blood sugar spikes (I'm not at level to need insulin)…it gets worse…

(3/3)…now I'm in a taxi to a laptop repair shop. I have a copy of my hard drive as of 96 hours ago in my luggage. But if I can't repair this today, I'll need to beg, borrow, buy, or rent a Debian-based laptop that supports Thunderbolt 4 or better to get notes for my talk off other drive & finish my slides tonight.
I may just buy a laptop at the shop if they can't fix it.

I feel like a fool here with a new group of great folks I just met & doing something stupid as a 1st impression. 😰🤦

Right to repair *lives* in #Luxembourg! 1 person repair shop (out of his apartment!):https://www.itechlux.lu/
He had high powered compressed air &microscope to scan disassembled parts for droplets.
Thx too for #NovaCustom's serviceable laptops:≈50ml of water on motherboard? Easily found & dried! It boots;tech guy exclaimed: “wow,this is #Linux!”😁 I shutdown & rest it until tonight just in case. Only damage? Missed afternoon of #UndoneCS,≈120€ in taxifare,& hardcore embarrassment😳
